Meet Our Stylists
Olivia Gemmell
Hi! My name is Olivia and I am the owner of Olive Beauty Co! I opened OBC in March 2022 after moving back to PA from southern Georgia.
My Goal with OBC was to create a safe haven for everyone, including myself. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and after 10 years in this industry, I am so beyond proud of my accomplishments. From graduating beauty school, to becoming an educator, taking my career with me to 2 different states and becoming an independent stylist at 22, I cannot believe it all led to me being where I am today! We are 3 years into this amazing business and I feel beyond privileged to get to service the Doylestown community!
A little bit about me, I cannot sit still or stay quiet. I have about a million different hobbies (not over exaggerating at all) and I LOVE to use my hands to do things. It’s a big reason I love hair so much, there’s a practical and social aspect to our industry you can’t easily find anywhere else. The only other place I feel as at home as I do behind the chair is snuggling my dogs (Asher and Luna) or on our family farm. I have a bit of a zoo of animals, including lots of horses, dogs, chickens and a couple thousand bees. (yes, I’m also a bee keeper). My life is anything but quiet, but somehow, I find peace in it all.
I am so beyond excited for the plans I have for Olive Beauty Co. It truly is my passion to grow this business into a local space everyone is excited to come to. In the last year, I took a jump to become not only a mentor but an employer as well. It has been such a joy to not only see my space and business grow, but to get to foster a young stylist into her career. The next steps are always coming and I don’t sit still for long! Edie Sidebotham
Growing up, I was always trying out new hairstyles and playing with my mom’s makeup. I was so excited to try it out whether it was on myself, my friends, or anyone who’d let me play around with their hair. I loved experimenting and learning new techniques, even before I realized it could be more than just a hobby.
I ended up trying a few different paths in life, but nothing ever really felt right. I kept finding myself coming back to the idea of doing hair and makeup-it was the one thing that always felt natural to me. Olivia has been such a huge support through it all, always encouraging me to chase what I love. That push is what led me to Olive Beauty, and it’s truly been the best decision.
Now, being behind the chair just feels like home. I get to be creative,
connect with amazing people, and help them feel confident and beautiful. I finally feel like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
Stepping into the salon environment felt like stepping into the place I was always meant to be. It’s more than just hair, it’s connection, confidence, creativity, and care. There’s no better feeling than seeing someone light up when they see the final result, and knowing I had a part in making them feel beautiful.
